The prizes are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden except for the peace prize which is awarded in Oslo, Norway. First Awarded in 1901.

  • The first Nobel Prize in Physics- Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen(1901) of Germany for invention of X-Ray(John Bardeen is the only person to win the prize in physics twice)
